What about participation in clubs and other campus activities? Are those reported to anyone officially?

How are staff advisors included in contact tracing notifications? We are often in close contact as described by the university.

Are there accommodation requirements for faculty teaching synchronous in person classes. Do they need to prepare videos of class time to provide a continued education experience for the sick student.
Cindy Monger (she/her)

I'm confused as to why the Viking Union has been left off of both the buildings (classroom VU552) and the ventilation lists. Can it be added? This building has large usage by the campus community as it is the elevator to campus.

Just now I got a call from a faculty. They have a student who reported they tested positive e a few days ago. The student now tells their faculty that the Health Center gave them the go ahead to return to face-to-face classes but it hasn't been 10 days. Faculty says SHC is not reachable. How can the faculty get accurate info from SHC rather than depending on student's word?

Viking Union is on the ventilation list: https://www.fm.wwu.edu/building-ventilation-information/

additional info: The faculty reports the banner report for his class never showed the positive case and still doesn't.

Is December Commencement going to be in person or virtual this year?

Can we get access to this video soon? I have faculty that needs this information and are busy right now.

We have had 8 self reported cases in our classroom
Heather Dalberg

I'm finding that the actual policy for classroom notification is notifying classes if positive student was known to attend during contagious period. That's a twist that is not well known.

I have a question about the student surveilence testing. Website says that a random group of students will be tested weekly, regardless of vaccination status. Asked students in a class of 91 and nobody had heard anything. How many students are being tested?

Remote work agreements start Jan 4th?
Wendy Johnson she/her/hers
01:03:41
For Adam and Holly (when we get to this subject): Can we have clearer guidelines surrounding events on campus? The Sponsored Visitors portion of the Covid-19 website states that : The process for verifying vaccination status or a negative test should be dependent on the event, program or service. I find this confusing.

When do we start the schedule?
Kyle Ricks
01:05:16
Remote work agreements are being pinned to the end of Fall Quarter (12/15/21) however staff may also be working during the winter break prior to the start of winter quarter. Are they being "grandfathered" in during that time?
Wendy Johnson she/her/hers
01:08:18
Sorry to go back to this. I would love a "policy" that we can direct our event programmers to. There are some programmers that do not want to check students green clearance or visitors immunization status.
Heather Dalberg
01:09:48
Just an FYI - I am working on campus with slight variations to my schedule at home, but I test every Thursday as an employee. I find it to give me some assurance when we hear of a student on campus in class with Covid. I also wish I knew if these students who self-report they were in class with Covid were breakthrough cases or waivers. I know that is none of my business, but this is why I test weekly.
Juliet Barnes
01:09:58
Please restate the end date for the remote agreements that have been submitted for fall. Do they end on Dec. 15? I have been instructed that they end on Dec. 15.
Wendy Johnson she/her/hers
01:11:22
Sorry. One other event comment: Can we just put on our website that event programmers are required to check Students clearance and visitors vaccination status or a negative covid test?

In the past, the flu clinic has run for a few days and with some later hours so we could bring family members to the clinic. I'm wondering why, this year, the flu clinic is only happening for one day with doors closing at 5?
Cindy Monger (she/her)
01:16:09
Why is there not a running total of cases listed on the dashboard and in the email from HR? It was helpful on the past dashboard when it had cases today, this week, and for the quarter.

01:18:19
Thank you Jessica! I thought you were maybe on it, but also if you don't get feedback, you won't know it's wanted :)

I'm actually not sure about the booster - my knowledge it was up to 4 hours
Heather Dalberg
01:23:08
Are you adding 2 hours for booster shots? I don't qualify yet since I'm Moderna

Like everyone, we have different thoughts about vaccines in our families. My father had Pfizer and he got Covid for 25 days
Heather Dalberg
01:45:59
Now my family doesn't want him to get the booster, and I told him to ask his doctor
Heather Dalberg
01:46:07
What's your thought about booster after covid after 2 doses
Heather Dalberg
01:47:44
How long should my dad wait for a booster shot after having covid?

Is there any consideration of antigen testing to determine need for booster?
